living worship
God has been so amazing, teaching me so many new things. For most of the summer I have been in a funk, in one of those seasons that you know you have to go through, but wish it was over cause it hurts to bad. Truth is, I got this idea into my head, that God loves me, but he doesnt want to provide for me. So i wouldnt let him. I fought with him most of the summer, I held onto ideas that i knew were not true, and i held on to a dream that i knew God told me to let go. But i didnt want to, I became stubborn, I became prideful, I thought I knew best. BIG MISTAKE. The wonderful thing about God, is that he does know best and he IS in control. He had to break me, He took away the one thing I wanted most, but Ive never been more thankful. Because of that, I was able to open my hands up to recieve the things HE wanted to give me. I am giving things up to him, and by doing that is an act of worship, I am trusting him, I am COMPLETELY believing that he will provide, and I am worshiping him with my heart.

As most of you know, my commitment with YWAM Denver ended at the end of March. It was an honor to serve with my peers in the mission’s training field, but I know that God has other plans in store for me now. Since I left, I was able to spend the month of April with my family, which was a great opportunity to reconnect with the people whom I love.
I moved back to Denver in May, and I was blessed with a basement apartment with a family who are close friends. Living with them has been a gift from God, providing a financial break and encouragement in faith in His provision. They have two kids, Katie- Scarlett and Eli, 2 years and 2 months respectively, who I am glad to babysit on occasion.
I was blessed to get a job within a couple of weeks after returning to Denver. I started working with Home Instead Senior Care, which is a home care service for elderly people. I have a few clients and work as a chef, maid, and general home maker, as well as take care of special needs, on a part-time basis. In July, I also got a job working at Target in the bakery. The hours have been difficult, starting work at 4am some days, but I am thankful to have gotten a full-time schedule.
In the end of July, I had another opportunity to shoot a wedding, this time in Montana. A few friends and I decided to make it into a vacation, and we road tripped up together. The wedding was beautiful, and I had a great time shooting it, learning more about my craft and passion. If any of you know anyone, or you yourself need a photographer, please give me a call!
As most of you know, I have been interested in doing the School of Photography in Kona, Hawaii, but God never has the same plans as we have for ourselves. I was just accepted to a Photography school in Cape Town, South Africa. This school is designed to develop your gifts, master techniques, and finer points of polished photography. This 3 month school starts on Oct 1st. One of my good friends is leading this school and has given me this amazing opportunity.
I am asking for your help. I know God has called me there, but I need people to invest in me and be willing to work side by side with me to see God’s will realized in people’s lives. My goal is to raise $6,000. I know this is a lot of money in a couple of short months, but I am trusting God to provide for His call on my life. I have been doing all I can to save this money, but living expenses have been somewhat of a hindrance.
My expenses are as follows:
School $2500
Camera $1,600
Plane ticket $2,000
As a YWAM-based missionary school, I will be relying solely on supporters. In raising this support, I would like to avoid major debt and evade any possibility of being bound fiscally in the future.
Please pray about investing in me and my dreams, whether financially or prayerfully, by an ongoing basis or a one-time donation.
I have included a small bag. If you are unsure about donating, I am asking that you put your loose change in the bag at the end of every day. At the end of the month, please cash in the coins and send the amount of cash collected. No matter how small or miniscule it might seem, every penny helps me reach my goal, so every penny counts.

new Update
Hello to all, Hope you are enjoying the first part of your New Year!
Life has been busy, but so amazing. Here is a quick update on what I have been up to the past few months.
Early December, I had the amazing opportunity to photograph my friend’s wedding which was such a wonderful experience for me. Photography is something that I have been starting to pursue as a career and this was a great start.
On Dec 9th was the one year anniversary of the shooting. It was hard for me to go through, but still good. God gave me so much grace in that time and restored me in a lot of areas where I have been grieving. We had a memorial service of which the families and police officers came.
Last January, Ywam Denver had a film crew come and document our Boarders Discipleship Training School (dts) and make a documentary. On Dec 9th we had had a private showing and over 300 people came and watched a film about what we are doing here and how God is changing peoples lives. JESUSFREAKS is an observational, character-driven documentary based on a young, dynamic, visionary leader, John Murphy and his school of 45 snowboarders (ages 17-25) as he guides them through a maze of spiritual transformation in the wake of tragedy. With little in common but God and snowboarding, these young boarders wrestle with authority, substance abuse, religion, dysfunctional relationships, death and more. Guided by peer leadership, spirituality, and deep faith, they set out on a journey that will ruin them for the ordinary.
If you want to know more about it go to www.Jesusfreaksmovie.com
Kitchen supervisor has been a great experience for me. Every day I learn more and more about how to be a better leader and a better cook.
This quarter started January 5th. We moved all our schools and staff to our mountain campus. We need to remodel a lot of our main facility to keep it running well. I am in charge of the kitchen again this next quarter. We have 60 students right now and 30 staff working up here.
I also have the privilege of leading worship once or twice a week .
The past couple years at Ywam Denver have been incredible. God has brought me so far, and taught me so much. I was able to travel, to serve, to teach, and grow, but my season at Ywam Denver is coming to a close. In April I will be leaving staff to pursue the next thing God has in store for me.
In Jan 2010 (sounds so far away) there is a photography school with Ywam that I am interesting in doing. There are two schools. One is from Jan-April, the second is July– Sept. If you want to know more about the schools go to:
http://www.uofnkona.edu/index.cfmfuseaction=control.main§ionid=138
From April-December before the school I am planning on working, saving up money for this school, and investing in equipment that I will be using in the future. I need to raise around ten thousand dollars by the end of this year. Please be praying for guidance as I don't know where I am planning on living yet. I have a couple of different options of places to live but haven’t made a decision so far.
This isn't the end in ministry, but another training opportunity for me. I want to incorporate my photography in with my mission work. Please consider partnering with me, as this is jut the start of a lifetime of ministry. For those who do support me now, I want to ask you to be in prayerful consideration of supporting me even through the time when I am working. All that you give I am planning on putting aside just for the school. I also want you to consider supporting me long term. I know God has called me to be a missionary and I want to live my life as he calls. To travel the world and work with the poorest of the poor.
Please continue to pray about supporting me, or that more support will come in. God is amazing and has been providing thus far. You can be a part of my ministry and help serve a long side of me by your support. Financial support can be sent to YWAM Denver at the address below:
YWAM Denver
12750 W 63rd Ave

Tax deductible donations can be made by writing the check to YWAM Denver and attaching a note that says that the money is for me. Checks with my name on them cannot be processed as tax-deductions. Thank you so much for being part of my life.
I would love to hear from each of you!
Many Blessings!

epiphany
So today something I have always known just clicked for the first time. I am equipt. I have always known that but have never really applied it to my own life. It has been a reoccuring conversation in my life for the past week. I have always known that God has given me all I need and will never give me more then I can handle, but the truth is, is that I don't step out into the things that I am called. I do to an extent, but when it gets to scary I step back for someone "more equipt" then I. The truth is, in different seasons, yes some are more anionted in areas, but we are all equipt with the same tools and I have been selling myself short of all the ways God can use me. This season I have felt God release me in a lot of areas and to step out in what he has called of me, and I have but only to the place where I know that I will not fail. The truth is, I need to jump all the way in, cause I can't fail with what God has given me. I think I have been in this place where the doors are open and I am free, but I have just stayed in the room I have been captive in, excitingly looking out into the vast journey ahead of me, starting to walk out, but still sitting in the door frame. I need to Run. I am equipt, I am strong, I am ready to do all that I know that God has called me to do.
HEY!
